Patients
Providing the best treatment for each individual
The condition of each patient’s mouth is different. There are many methods to solve oral problems, as each patient has different lifestyles, diet, tastes, tooth alignment, bite, etc. We will propose the most suitable treatment method for each patient after considering which method is most suitable for them and which method the patient wishes to use.
We believe it is our duty to learn a variety of treatment techniques so that patients have a wider range of options.
Promise to Patients
Everything is for the patient.
At Smile Plan Dental Group, we strive to provide dental care that puts the patient first. For this reason, all staff members, from the doctors who treat patients to the dental hygienists, assistants and receptionists, all work daily with the philosophy of “everything for the patient.”
We the patient should always be at the centre of medical care I believe that is the case.
It has been said since ancient times that “medicine is a benevolent art.”
It is important for medical professionals to feel joy in helping others, regardless of the sacrifices they make. They must always put the patient first in their actions.
Smile Plan is the rule we hold most dear, and has remained unchanged since the founding of Yamamoto Dental Clinic.
The Edo period Confucian scholar Kaibara Ekiken once said the following.
“Medicine is a benevolent art. It should be based on a benevolent heart and one’s goal should be to save people. One should not focus solely on one’s own profit. Medicine is an art that saves and helps people, who are the foundation of heaven and earth, and that governs the life and death of all people. Therefore, medicine is an extremely important duty, and can be said to be the governor of the people.”

Always smiling,
It is important to have dialogue with patients.
Dental treatment often takes a long time.
Furthermore, regular follow-up visits after treatment are essential to maintaining the patient’s oral health. This means that the relationship between the dental clinic and the patient is a long-term one.
We in order to support the oral health of patients over the long term, a relationship of trust with the patient is of utmost importance. I believe that is the case.
It is very important to talk to patients and listen to their concerns and worries.
We also build relationships of trust by getting to know our patients well and having them get to know us. We want to be a trustworthy clinic so that our patients can trust us with their oral health.
Always offering the latest treatment technology.
The world of dentistry is still evolving at a rapid pace, with new technologies being developed every day. If you don’t keep learning, you won’t be able to provide the latest technology to your patients.
Slacking off on your learning process will limit the range of treatment options available to patients. Fundamentally, dentistry is a technical profession.
We the best medical service we can provide to patients is to provide them with the highest level of medical technology.
We believe it is our duty to provide our patients with the latest equipment and technology.
Providing high quality dental care.
We are committed to quality dentistry.
We consider everything, including treatment techniques, space, design, patient care, and easy-to-understand explanations, as part of our medical service, and we spare no effort to improve its quality.
We believe that improving the quality of dental care will lead to improved quality of life (QOL) for our patients.
Four features of our hospital
1.“Patient-first informed consent”
At our clinic, we try to set aside as much time as possible to listen to patients during treatment.
This is because we believe that listening to and sharing patients’ dental concerns and fulfilling their wishes regarding treatment policies and procedures are very important in dental treatment.
What we can do is strive to make our patients’ visits to the clinic as comfortable and pain-free as possible, keep ourselves familiar with the latest treatment techniques to increase the treatment options available to patients, and provide professional advice to help patients decide on a treatment plan.
2.“The latest equipment and digital technology”
As dentistry becomes more digitalized, advanced medical equipment and techniques are being developed in various fields of treatment, making dental care more comfortable. Our clinic is equipped with the latest digital equipment and provides accurate, high-precision dental care in a short period of time, at low cost.
Intraoral Scanner
Intraoral Scanner
I’m sure there are many people who say, “I don’t like having impressions taken at the dentist,” or “They shove something like gum down the back of my throat and it makes me gag.” Nowadays, it is possible to take impressions by taking 3D images using a camera called an intraoral scanner, which is used to take impressions of the mouth, and the opportunities to take impressions using impression materials as in the past have decreased significantly.
The advantage of digital scanning is that the condition of your teeth and mouth is visualized and turned into data, making it very easy to store, manage, and exchange with laboratories, etc. In recent years, the accuracy of scanning has improved dramatically, and it is now possible to scan with almost the same accuracy as previous impressions, making it one of the main devices for digital dentistry, which will continue to develop in the future.
Digital CT X-ray
Digital CT X-ray
Digital X-rays have been used in dentistry for quite some time, but CT scans, which are three-dimensional X-rays, are now becoming more common. By being able to check the condition of teeth and bones in 3D, it goes without saying that much more information can be obtained accurately.
Our hospital has introduced the flagship machine “Axeos” made by the German company Sirona, which allows us to take highly accurate Rothgen images with ultra-low radiation exposure. It is the latest digital CT that is gentle on patients and essential for accurate diagnosis.
Microscope
Microscope
When performing extremely delicate treatment, being able to actually see with your own eyes makes a huge difference. A microscope is an essential item for performing treatment while viewing the treatment area at high magnification.
While the magnifying glasses (loupes) generally used in treatment have a magnification of about 3 to 8 times, a microscope is used during treatment with varying magnifications of about 5 to 25 times. Since the magnification required differs depending on the content of the treatment, the ability to change the magnification is one of the strengths of a microscope.
By using a microscope with high magnification, you can see things that cannot be seen with the naked eye or a magnifying glass, such as the condition of the tip of the tooth root and the condition inside the periodontal pocket. Being able to “see with your eyes” is the most important factor in precision treatment.
Aligner Orthodontics
Aligner Orthodontics
With the development of digital technology, orthodontic treatment has become very accessible. Aligner orthodontics, which begins with scanning the current state of your teeth with an intraoral scanner, now allows even non-orthodontists to diagnose and create treatment plans with the support of AI technology.
Our clinic has introduced the latest intraoral scanner, the iTero Element5, which allows us to accurately and quickly scan the condition of your teeth and perform orthodontic treatment simulations.
Aligner orthodontics is a system that uses transparent mouthpieces to move your teeth, so it is the latest digital orthodontic system that allows you to improve the alignment of your teeth comfortably without anyone noticing.
Guided Implants
Guided Implants
An important method of treatment planning in implant treatment is called “top-down treatment,” in which the position of the implant is determined by working backwards from the final position and shape of the teeth.
A device called a “surgical guide” is essential for determining the position of the implant on a digital CT image and embedding the implant according to the plan. Implant surgery without a surgical guide is highly dependent on the surgeon’s intuition and experience, resulting in a large degree of variation in the results.
At our clinic, we use the latest digital equipment, such as intraoral scanners, digital CT scans, milling machines, and 3D printers, to perform all implant surgeries accurately and safely using guided surgery with surgical guides.
Furthermore, we have also introduced the next-generation implant navigation system “X-Guide,” and are one of the few dental clinics in Japan that also performs new guided surgery without using a surgical guide.
We provide accurate, safe and comfortable implant treatment.
3.“Precise treatment using a microscope”
Microscopes are surgical microscope devices that are also used in ophthalmology, neurosurgery, cardiovascular surgery, etc. They began to be introduced into dentistry in the latter half of the 20th century, and although their penetration rate in Japan is still only around 3-4% today, they can be said to be an absolutely essential medical device for carrying out precision treatment.
Considerable training is required to handle a microscope as if it were your own hand or foot, and the treatment posture and field of view are significantly different from treatment with the naked eye or a loupe, so it is thought that many clinics are hesitant to introduce it or are unable to use it.
Smile Plan Medical Corporation has been using microscopes for the past 15 years, and has been using them in a variety of treatments, including root canal treatment and restorative treatment, to provide highly precise treatment.
