What you can do to protect your child’s teeth
Children’s teeth have a big impact on the alignment of their teeth when they become adults. By controlling the growth of the jaw bone, there is a higher chance that children will have beautifully aligned teeth when they become adults without undergoing surgery. Also, by learning the importance of teeth from a young age, children will develop the habit of taking care of their teeth even when they become adults. At our clinic, we not only treat cavities, but also provide thorough preventive care and teeth alignment treatment.
We strive to provide painless treatment
In pediatric dentistry, we believe it is important to make sure children do not experience pain as much as possible. If a child experiences pain during dental treatment, they may come to dislike the dentist, and even when they become adults, they may tend to ignore problems with their teeth or mouth until they become serious. We strive to provide gentle treatment with minimal pain, so please feel free to consult us.
Why are baby teeth susceptible to cavities??
- Baby teeth have only half the thickness of enamel and dentin compared to permanent teeth.
- Feeding your baby bottle or giving them sweets often means that sugar will be in their mouth for a long time.
- Because baby teeth are prone to getting things stuck between them
- Baby teeth are unevenly aligned and difficult to brush properly.
Preventive measures against tooth decay
We also provide the following preventive measures:
Fluoride application
Fluoride strengthens tooth structure and suppresses the activity of cavity-causing bacteria. By regularly applying fluoride to the surface of your teeth, you can help develop teeth that are less susceptible to cavities.
Sealant treatment
Teeth have complex, fine grooves, and it is difficult to completely remove dirt even with brushing, especially on the back teeth. To prevent tooth decay, sealants (special plastics) are used to seal the grooves to prevent tooth decay bacteria from entering them.
