What you can do to protect your precious children’s teeth
Children’s teeth have a significant impact on the alignment of their teeth as adults. By controlling the growth of the jawbone, the chances of having beautifully aligned teeth as an adult without surgery are increased. Also, by learning the importance of teeth as a child, one will develop the habit of taking good care of their teeth as an adult. At our clinic, we will examine not only cavities but also preventive measures and tooth alignment.
We strive for painless treatment.
In pediatric dentistry, we believe it is important to avoid as much pain as possible for children. This is because when children experience pain during dental treatment, they tend to develop a “dislike of dentists,” and when they grow up, they tend to neglect tooth and mouth problems until they become serious. We strive to provide gentle and painless treatment, so please feel free to consult with us.
Why are baby teeth prone to decay?
- Because baby teeth have only half the thickness of enamel and dentin compared to permanent teeth.
- If you often bottle feed or give sweets, the sugar will be in the mouth for a longer period of time.
- Baby teeth tend to get things stuck between teeth.
- Baby teeth have bumpy dentition and are difficult to brush properly.
Prophylaxis for tooth decay
The clinic also offers the following preventive procedures
Fluoride application
Fluoride strengthens tooth structure and inhibits the action of caries-causing bacteria. By regularly applying fluoride to the surface of the teeth, we can nurture teeth that are less prone to cavities.
sealant procedure
Teeth have intricate and fine grooves, and it is difficult to completely remove stains, especially on the back teeth, even when brushing. To prevent caries from entering the grooves, the grooves are sealed with sealants (special plastic) to prevent cavities.
